Measure the grind
Photograph grounds on the free calibration mat to read particle distribution, D-values, fines, uniformity and brew-method fit. The original photo never leaves your device.
BREW VERO
Brew Vero is a free coffee journal and grind-analysis system for home brewers, made by Barista in Pajamas. Measure a sample from a photo, record the recipe and taste of the cup, connect both in your private library, then use trends, Brew IQ, and practical guides to decide what to change next. Grind photos are analyzed on your device; sign in with Google only when you want your analyses, brews, coffees, and equipment saved across devices.
ONE CONNECTED COFFEE SYSTEM
Brew Vero connects what your grinder produced, how you brewed it, and how the cup tasted. Instead of isolated numbers and notes, every brew becomes useful context for the one that follows.
Photograph grounds on the free calibration mat to read particle distribution, D-values, fines, uniformity and brew-method fit. The original photo never leaves your device.
Save the coffee, grinder setting, dose, yield, time, temperature, rating and tasting notes. Link the actual grind report when you have one.
Use trends, the SCA brewing control chart and Brew IQ to compare your better cups, separate recipe issues from grind issues, and choose one useful next experiment.
Evidence-aware guides connect the data to grinders, beans, water, extraction and technique—so adjustments make sense instead of becoming guesswork.

BREW JOURNAL
Every cup, tracked
Dose, ratio, rating, tasting notes: log the cup and watch a real SCA brewing control chart, rating trends, streaks, and your top coffees build up the more you brew.
GRIND LAB
Measure the grind
Print the calibration mat, sprinkle grounds, shoot from above. You get D10/D50/D90, span, fines, a brew-method match and a flavor projection, measured on this device. Save any reading to your library.
Flavor and brew projections are heuristics from the size distribution alone. Detection floor ≈ 100 µm. Method adapted from Jonathan Gagné's open-source coffeegrindsize (MIT). Grind analysis is free without an account; saving a report and the brew journal both need one.
BIP Coffee Particle Analyzer
Pick profiles now or after the analysis: you can change them before saving.

Today
Your recent brews and active coffees will shape this space.
Log a brew
Start with a saved recipe or record the method, extraction and taste from scratch.
Brew history
Find a cup, repeat it, or compare a filtered set with Brew IQ.
Recipe book
Save a method once, guide the timer from it, then brew it again without rebuilding the form.
Coffee lots
Track roast age, opened date and remaining coffee. Logged doses reduce the active lot automatically.
Useful intelligence
Recommendations show their sample size and confidence. Brew Vero describes patterns in what you logged; it does not pretend correlation is certainty.
Experiment mode
Choose a baseline recipe and planned values. Brew Vero carries everything else forward so the result is easier to interpret.
